The expert committee DKE/K 372 prepares standards for primary cells and batteries used in applications such as clocks/watches, toys and small electronic equipment. The standardization work focuses on international standard series such as DIN EN 60086 and IEC 60086.
Tasks/topics of the expert committee:
- Development of safety requirements for primary cells and batteries
- Extending the scope of IEC 60086 to cover environmental aspects of primary batteries
- Revision of the standards series incorporating safety aspects of primary lithium batteries
